Implementation Strategy
Our implementation strategy is based on the identification of hard points. In fact, JD Edwards benefits from particularly rich business process capital in a very large number of trades and industries. The challenge is therefore to identify and focus on the singularities of companies, trades, contexts, which require particular attention.
Beyond the settings and adaptations of critical points, our objective is to help our Client to differentiate:
- On the one hand, the uses and user experiences that could be the subject of an adaptation effort in order to join the JDE and Best Practices business standards: the challenge is to adopt the standard and accompanying change.
- On the other hand, the operational and competitive challenges, which deserve a personalization of the ERP:g. business strategy, efficiency, or compliance aspects.

- D’une part les usages et expériences utilisateurs qui pourraient faire l’objet d’un effort d’adaptation afin de rejoindre les standards JDE et Best Practices métiers : c’est un enjeu d’adoption du standard et d’accompagnement du changement.

Project management – Implementation
In order to promote the adoption of standards, our project approach leverages BHI’s standard process catalog, based on JDE standards and Business Best Practices. These processes, organized by functional areas (Finance & Accounting, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, etc.) are presented to the client-side referents during workshops, and compared to the usual operational practices.
Our common objective will then be to identify the greatest common denominator of processes, and finally to make Client processes converge with Best Practices. Aspects not covered by the standard, hard points, will then lead to further personalization.
This convergence-based approach of between JDE standards and Client processes is co-created in Workshops and recorded in an implementation plan: the Setup Plan.
Team structure – Implementation
Since its creation, BHI’s guideline has been to offer its Clients lean and agile teams, made up of functional Consultants who are experts in both ERP and business aspects.
Most of our implementations are supported by :
- An expert finance consultant – Purchases not stored
- An expert Supply Chain – Manufacturing consultant
- In support, our teams of technical architects (CNC) and developers.
Of course, the teams are scaled according to customer needs the Go Live and deployment phases are further supported with extended teams.
Upgrade – JD Edwards version upgrade
BHI supports its Customers for their technical upgrade f Technology Fundation and / or functional modules
Upgrading regularly the ERP has several objectives :
- Continuous support from Oracle Corporation as publisher
- Benefit from new integration, communication, service continuity technologies, etc.
- Take advantage of new features.
JD Edwards allows to a certain extent to upgrade distinctly, up to a certain level of deviation, the technical and functional layers.
En effet, JD Edwards permet dans une certaine mesure de monter en version distinctement, jusqu’à un certain niveau d’écart, les couches techniques et fonctionnelles.
BHI supports its Customers for the two types of migration from JDE :
- Iso migrations, the main issue of which is in non regression tests.
- Migration with functional improvements, which, beyond an ERP version upgrade, aims to review certain business processes.

BHI supports its Customers to deploy JD Edwards internationally.
Thanks to a structured approach and collaborative working tools, we carry the international deployments of our customers, aiming for main objectives :
- Maximum adherence to core model of the reference entity, often the headquarters.
- The identification of aspects which may require local adaptations.
- Compliance with the regulations of the different countries, from a tax, accounting, industrial standards, environmental, health, traceability, etc. point of view.
BHI supports the ERP deployments of its customers globally, and has already implemented JDE in more than 30 countries
Support and Third Party Application Maintenance (TAM)
BHI, thanks to a European infrastructure, assumes the technical and functional support of its Customers.
This support can take the form of a Third Party Application Maintenance initiated with guaranteed response times SLA (Service Level Agreement) or support on demand.

BHI has developed tools and scripts for automated monitoring of technical environments. We monitor servers, in addition to the support based on the management of tickets initiated by client contact person.
